This course is a required course for all of my other courses including Start Buttons, Shaping Movement Behaviors, Working with Multiples, Trainer's choice and Cues. If you are interested in any of these other courses being offered this summer you will need to take this course.


The Dates for SHAPING: August 29 - Sept. 14, 2025

Peggy Hogan and Monty Gwynne will be offering training solutions, teaching videos and video assessments for this course.


The topic of the current class is learning to use shaping as an effective tool for teaching behaviors. We work in protected contact, at liberty (for those who qualify) and we do not use pressure techniques to teach our horses.


We will support your process with educational material, teaching videos, discussion and help with your training plan. To maximize your skill acquisition participation is expected. This is not an auditor class.

REFUNDS NOT AVAILABLE ONCE THE COURSE STARTS. If you need to drop out before, you will be refunded all but your PayPal fees. 

To maximize your skill acquisition and ability to progress in future course, full participation is required.

This is not an auditor class. Be ready to work and learn.


This video coaching course will run for 17 days and has been expanded to include an 3 weekends. The class includes other participants who are also working on training the same behaviors. 

During the course you will be able to post videos of yourself when requested. Specific details of the video protocol will be posted on the group.


Participants can post their videos to YouTube (as an unlisted video) and post the link in the class structure. Other options are Vimeo or Google Drive. IF you have technical difficulties posting videos you will want to research this before the start of class.


The class will be held in a private platform called CANVAS. When you pay, you will receive an email from us. When the class is ready to open you will be sent an invitation by email to join the class.

You must provide me with the EXACT email address AND name you want to use for the course. Using that information I will send you an invitation to join the course. Once you receive the invitation you can sign up.

You will need to create a CANVAS account on a computer. AFTER you do that, accept the invitation to the class using a computer, then you can download the app. I've used both, and they are both user friendly.


It also helps to friend me on FB in case we need an alternative way to keep in touch.
