  • Shaping a chin rest and more ‘Start & Continue Buttons’ to use in cooperative care.

  • Training and adding the needed components for the actual care procedure.

  • Letting horses lead, ‘co-creating’ individualised shaping processes.

  • Learning how to set up an environment and use feeding strategies.

  • Setting up choices in training and care procedure supporting collaboration

  • Different ways to train duration, variety and distraction.

  • Broadening your observational skills and adding flexibility to training.

  • Looking at desensitisation and counter-conditioning with an operant mindset.

MORE INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR INSTRUCTORS

Peggy Hogan has been a ground breaker in the introduction of clicker training to the horse world. She has been a presenter at Clicker Expo since 2013. She has traveled internationally giving clinics and teaching people how to access the rewards of this kind of training. Her passion is using shaping, which allows the horse to learn from its experience, without needing pressure. This approach to training has been the basis for her development of Cooperative Care. She has been a student of Dr. Friedman and LLA for many years and is committed to keeping the training based in well studied science.

Anat Shalev is passionate about shaping with an errorless learning attitude, training for cooperative care and training movement behaviors benefiting the horse’s physical and mental wellbeing. 

Anat is a Fear Free Certified trainer, IAABC Supporting Member, and avid returning participant in Susan Friedman's LLA classes. Anat has studied with leading animal trainers and behaviorists, taught classes, and lectured at conferences locally and internationally.

OTHER IMPORTANT DETAILS - READ CAREFULLY

This video coaching course will run for 6 weeks. The class includes other participants who are also working on training the same behaviors. This is NOT an auditor course. Active participation is required, no exceptions.
